Rosemary’s baby (1967) and the terminator (1984)

Pregnancy is obviously a lot to handle, but try adding messianic promise to that future child and it becomes a horror show. Take Roman Polanski’s ROSEMARY’S BABY and James Cameron’s THE TERMINATOR as the perfect examples. Two masterpieces in their respective genres, both films make glorious metaphorical hay out of the miracle of birth.
